Adoption, like a rainbow, is complex and unique.
 
Like a rainbow, which only exists when rain and sun join in the sky, the joys of adoption cannot be fully appreciated without acknowledging the loss out of which it is born.
 
Creating space for the grief does not diminish the beauty of adoption, it enhances it. Without rain, there is no rainbow.
 
After all, a rainbow is created as sun beams stream through the rain and changes how we see the light.
 
Rainbows do not exist without both rain and sun.
