Children’s Home Society Welcomes Adoption Support Alliance into Its Family of Services

Children’s Home Society of North Carolina (CHS) is proud to welcome Adoption Support Alliance (ASA) into our growing family of services. Effective January 1, ASA’s adoption support programs have officially become part of CHS - uniting two organizations with a shared goal to strengthen and sustain adoptive families.

For more than 123 years, CHS has been a trusted leader in helping children and families thrive through adoption, foster care, and family preservation. ASA, founded in Charlotte in 2014, has provided vital counseling, education, and support to adoptive families. Together, we will expand post-adoption services statewide, ensuring adoptees and their families receive the care and connection they need at every stage of their journey.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Adoption Support Alliance team, families, and supporters into the CHS family,” said Brian Maness, CHS President and CEO. “Our missions have always aligned and this partnership allows us to reach more families with the lifelong support they deserve.”

“Joining forces with Children’s Home Society feels like the natural next step for our organization,” added Erin Nasmyth, Executive Director of Adoption Support Alliance. “We are excited for our work to continue with even greater reach and resources.”

This partnership represents a meaningful expansion of our collective impact - and a shared belief that every child deserves a permanent, safe, and loving family.
