Teen Art Workshop: June 2021

This is Adoption Support Alliance's first annual art workshop for adopted teens.  It is designed for middle school and high school students.  No prior experience with art is required.  All supplies will be included in the cost of the workshop- teens need only bring themselves!

The workshop will be led by adoption-competent therapist and co-founder, Erin Nasmyth, and art teacher and talented artist, Erin Dennison.  In community (with snacks and cool music and lots of flexibility), teens can use their creativity to make art that allows them to process their adoption.  

Art projects will be inspired by the idea that adoption is like a rainbow- it takes both rain and sun to make something beautiful. Our time together will ensure that we acknowlege and celebrate the joys of adoption as well as acknowledge and create space for the challenges and loss.  

We will offer three workshops over the course of the summer- one per month.  Dates are Wednesday evenings- June 9th, July 7th and August 11th.  When you purchase tickets, just be sure to get a ticket for the month that works for you (they each separate events on the website). We'd love for teens to join all three if they are able but each workshop will operate as its own event.  So, teens can sign up for just one workshop without worrying that they will have missed anything.
