Kids Club: August 2021

After a couple summers off, ASA's Kid's Club is back!  These weeks are designed for elementary school  students and will incorporate art daily in our activities. All supplies will be included in the cost of the week including snacks and water.

The camp will be led by adoption-competent therapist and ASA co-founder, Erin Nasmyth, and art teacher and talented artist, Erin Dennison.  With other adopted children (with snacks and outdoor time and lots of fun), kids will read books, play games and use their creativity to make art that allows them to process their adoption.  

Art projects will be inspired by the idea that adoption is like a rainbow- it takes both rain and sun to make something beautiful. Our time together will ensure that we acknowlege and celebrate the joys of adoption as well as acknowledge and create space for the challenges and loss.  

We will offer two separate weeks over the course of the summer- one in July and one in August.  Children can attend one or both weeks.  Camp will be held from 9 am to noon, five days.  Weeks are July 5 to 9 and August 16 to 20.   When you purchase tickets, just be sure to get a ticket for the week that works for you (they are separate events on the website).  We'd love for your child to join both weeks if they are able but each week will operate as its own event.  So, kids can sign up for just one week without worrying that they will have missed anything.
