About the Event
Hope for the Journey (HFTJ) is an annual conference based on the Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Model, an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI is a model originally described in The Connected Child: Bring Hope and Healing to Your Adoptive Family. The conference aim is to encourage parents and caregivers who are meeting the everyday needs of children impacted by adoption and/or foster care. The fundamental belief that underlies the teachings of the conference is that every human being has great capacity to grow and overcome adversity when cared for in supportive, connected and nurturing environments.
