About the Event
Join our supportive workshop designed to address the challenges of grief and loss and the need for self-care for foster and kinship parents. Caregivers will explore the unique experiences of grief and loss in the foster parenting journey, learn emotional resilience strategies to cope with the complexities of saying goodbye, and share insights on navigating these emotions. This workshop will also address the complexities of saying goodbye, and share insights on navigating these emotions. This workshop will also address secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, and how to hold space for a child's grief and loss.  Training will be held from 3-5 PM, with a community pizza dinner to follow at 5 PM. Childcare is available onsite through our incredible team of staff and volunteers. Special curriculum designed and led by a child life therapist available for siblings of foster care.
