About the Event
Adoption Support Alliance is excited to welcome UNCC MSW intern, Annika Urban, to our clinical team. Annika is excited to facilitate a connection group for middle school adoptees based on the workbook Beneath the Mask, which "features heartfelt stories written by teen and young adult adoptees who graciously shared their feelings about their own adoption journeys. [The workbook is] filled with activities and journaling pages" that will be used to help our teen participants work through their own adoption journeys and their feelings about it.
This group will meet on alternating Mondays in March and April from 7:30pm - 8:30pm. The dates of this group are March 3rd, 17th, 31st and April 14th and 28th . We ask that, if you register your teen, he or she is able to attend all five group meeting (barring last-minute illness, of course) to create some consistency with participation and allow each…
