Connect & Belong

Join other adoptive parents for this newly launched connection group.   We encourage you to plan to participate in all four sessions to provide continuity and relationship building among group members.  

The group will begin with family dinner from 6 to 6:30 pm.  Food will be provided.  Children will then joined background-checked volunteers to play separately from adults from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.  

From 6:30 to 7:30 pm, adoptive parents will watch a video on a foundational topic in adoption and will discuss the videos content as it relates to their families and experiences with adoption.  Each video will be written and recorded by by Erin Nasmyth, Adoption Support Alliance's co-founder & executive director.  Topics will include grief & loss, talking about adoption, openness in adoption and parenting in adoption.   This group will be facilitated by volunteer & adoptive parent, Rebecca Cook.
