Being With: A Parenting Course

Join Erin Nasmyth, LSCW and ASA Executive Director along with fellow parents of children with big, baffling behaviors in this workshop. Based upon her year-long, immersive Being With training with Robyn Gobbel, LCSW, Erin will guide you to gain clarity around your child’s behaviors and gain confidence that SEEING your child clearly actually IS a parenting tool!

Through this course, you will also... 

(1) Master the ability to identify your child’s level of regulation and utilize specific parenting interventions based on THEIR unique needs.  

(2) Develop practical ways to help YOURSELF stay regulated and connected, even in the face of difficult behavior.  

(3) Feel confident that you are a parent who is doing the very best you can... especially when circumstances are difficult.

This is a virtual Lunch & Learn format meeting Thursdays starting February 23rd (2/23, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6) from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. Please note that you must be able to attend a minimum of 5 out of the 7 sessions, although full participation is highly recommended. 

The cost of this course is $250.  However, thanks to our generous donors, we are offering this class as "pay as you can".  So, $250 covers your registration, more willl offset the costs of others and less will be covered by ASA donors.  Payment can be made via PayPal link on our website, Venmo (@adoptionsupport), Zelle (erin@adoptionsupportalliance.org) or by writing a check to "Adoption Support Alliance" and mailing it to 1501 East 7th Street, Unit 6 Charlotte, NC 28204.  Registration is due the Monday prior to class starting, February 20th.

We will need a minimum of three families to register in order to hold the class.  If we do not have enough participation, your payment will be refunded fully.  If more than one person is attending from a family (i.e. two partners who will co-parent), only one registration is required.
