About the Event
Adoption Support Alliance's “BE YOU. An art camp for adopted children” is for elementary school students who joined their family through adoption (any kind of adoption!). The camp will be co-led by ASA’s Executive Director and licensed clinical social worker, Erin Nasmyth, as well as art teacher extraordinaire, Erin Dennison. We are excited to partner again for a memorable summer experience!
BE YOU activities will include all facets of art- visual, music, dance and drama. We will incorporate creativity and expression daily through art activities, therapeutic games, adoption education and connection with one another. Through our time together, we will normalize adoption as a way to form a family, learn more about adoption topics and empower children, at an appropriate developmental level, to embrace their unique and wonderful identities as adoptees.
Parents of ASA's Kids Camp participants will be given a guide to prepare their child for the BE YOU.…
