About the Event
ASA is sponsoring a free showing of "Return to Seoul" at the Independent Picture House in Charlotte.
This is a powerful film about the adoptee's search for identity. Be prepared that the film does have subtitles but it is easy to follow.  While the focus of this movie is on international adoption, the themes that it addresses is relevant to a variety of adoption stories- including domestic adoptions.   See the trailer.
The movie is rated R so is not intended for younger adoptess but teens with their parents present (based on parents' judgement) or young adult adoptees are encouraged to attend. Â
The movie runs two hours long and afterwards, you are invited to stay for a discussion about the movie and its themes if you are able and willing. Â
The Independent Picture House will have concessions available for purchase at the theater.Â
There is no charge for tickets to the movie. Â However, Adoption Support Alliance welcomes your tax-deductible donation to help offset the costs of future events for the adoption community and to provide counseling, connection groups and classes at a reduced fee for all adoptive families. Â
