Being With: A Parenting Course

Join Erin Nasmyth, LSCW and ASA Executive Director along with fellow parents of children with big, baffling behaviors in this workshop. Based upon her year-long, immersive Being With training with Robyn Gobbel, LCSW, Erin will guide you to gain clarity around your child’s behaviors and gain confidence that SEEING your child clearly actually IS a parenting tool!

Through this course, you will also... 

(1) Master the ability to identify your child’s level of regulation and utilize specific parenting interventions based on THEIR unique needs.  

(2) Develop practical ways to help YOURSELF stay regulated and connected, even in the face of difficult behavior.  

(3) Feel confident that you are a parent who is doing the very best you can... especially when circumstances are difficult.

This course is a hybrid format and will offered in four parts.  Course material will be taught live, weekly for three Tuesdays  as a Lunch & Learn followed by a live, virtual community conversation on the final Tuesday of the month in the evening.  If you cannot attend the live, midday teaching, recordings will be sent to you later that day.  The expectation is that participants will have heard all three modules prior to attending the live community conversation.  

Course is taught in four parts... 

(1) How to Become the Expert in Your Child's Behaviors 

      COURSE CONTENT: March 7th, 14th & 21st live from noon to 1 pm or on demand

      COMMUNITY CONVERSATION: March 28th from 8 to 9 pm  

(2) Now, Let's "Fix" Those Behaviors -  Part 1

      COURSE CONTENT: April 4th, 11th & 18th live from noon to 1 pm or on demand

      COMMUNITY CONVERSATION: April 25th from 8 to 9 pm 

(3) Now, Let's "Fix" Those Behaviors -  Part 2

      COURSE CONTENT: May 9th, May 16th, May 23rd live from noon to 1 pm or on demand

      COMMUNITY CONVERSATION: May 30th from 8 to 9 pm  

(4) Why Knowing Istn' Even Half the Battle

      COURSE CONTENT: June 6th, June 13th, June 20th  live from noon to 1 pm or on demand

      COMMUNITY CONVERSATION: June 27th from 8 to 9 pm  

The course includes 12 modules total 4 community conversations and access to a FB group with other parents who have taken the course and are learning to apply it's principles).  The total cost of the course is $350.  

However, thanks to our generous donors, we are offering this class as "pay as you can".  So, $350 covers your registration.  If you give more, your payment willl offset the costs of others and if you are unable to pay $350 in full, your costs will be covered by ASA donors.   Registration is required by Friday, March 24th.  All course content will be provided to prior to the first community converation.

If more than one person is attending from a family (i.e. two partners who will co-parent), only one registration is required.
